Maybe you already know us, having worked with us for years. You may have no idea who works at inBrain. Our team is what makes us unique, which is why we like to tell a little more about the people behind the products!
This time we introduce you to Fiene Folker, Digital Learning Specialist intern at inBrain.
What characteristic makes you do your job better?
I am very creative, so try to provide playful, visual and practical e-learnings. I am also very empathetic, so can empathize with others. This helps when writing in different perspectives, critically looking at how motivated others would be to take the e-learning and thus whether I need to adjust something to increase this motivation.
What is your favorite way to unwind after a busy work week?
Snuggle up on the couch, Netflix on and crochet! I love to take a moment to myself and retreat. But I also really enjoy socializing just by going out with my family or friends and girlfriends to do something fun, like have a drink!
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I think a night owl. Funny really, because when I have to do an internship at inBrain I have to get up at 6 am. So I’m kind of up for doing an internship at inBrain!
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert at something, what would it be?
Speaking of digital learning solutions: in designing e-learning slides. I already really enjoy this myself, but I’m not very good at it yet. I would like to develop in that!
Speaking of L&D in general, I would love to be an expert in coaching! That’s what I want to delve into next year.
If inBrain were an orchestra, what would your role be?
Ukulele!!! I am currently small and learning as an L&D junior and would like to grow into a guitar by the end of this academic year. That I have developed to the point where I am competent in the process of designing and developing (digital) learning solutions from start to finish.
About my role
I am doing an internship with the main role of Digital Learning Specialist, but I also try to delve into the Digital Designer and Illustrator and Coach roles from time to time. As Digital Learning Specialist, I deal with the content of learning solutions, such as writing texts, building e-learning, as well as liaising with clients to achieve the best possible end result!
I am in the third year of the Learning and Development in Organizations program at the HAN in Nijmegen. The course has given me tools that I can finally put into practice!
About Fiene
Fiene Folker is a Digital Learning Specialist intern at inbrain. Fiene is a regular traveler on the Dutch railroads. Every day she makes an impressive train journey towards the office in Utrecht, but she’s willing to do that. Fortunately, she can enjoy crocheting on the go, so time flies by before she gets to the office!
