About "At the desk of:

In the ‘At the desk of’ section, answers
an inBrainer five questions to ask him/her
to know better.

Maybe you already know us, having worked with us for years. You may have no idea who works at inBrain. Our team is what makes us unique, which is why we like to tell a little more about the people behind the products!

This time we introduce you to Kim Tijssen, Marketing & Events associate at inBrain.

Do you have a special hobby?

‘My biggest hobby is actually anything to do with water sports. Windsurfing, sailing, wakeboarding or just cruising in the sunshine. Hopefully we’ll be surfing again this summer with all the inBrainers.

What characteristic makes you do your job better?

‘I think my enthusiasm allows me to do my job better. I enjoy many different things and am energized by new projects. One of those new projects I am working on now, for example, is organizing “Coffee & Croissants” inspiration sessions on interesting topics of our time. The next inspiration session will be on AI and learning concepts and will take place in April.’

What did you want to be before? And what do you see from that in your work today?

‘I always used to want to be a potter or work in the lipstick factory, haha. I thought it would be great to come up with and test out all the new lipstick colors. Growing up, my passion went more toward copywriting and event organizing. I get a lot of energy when I see people enjoying something I’ve organized. I’m glad I get to do that for my job now.

Are you competitive and how does that show up at inBrain?

‘I wouldn’t describe myself as a very competitive person, but during a game of volleyball with inBrainers, I am keen to win! Soon we will also go kickboxing with the team, then I think I will secretly become fanatical again.’

If you could work from any location in the world, where would that be?

‘I don’t have to think long about that, that’s Costa Rica! In my opinion, that’s a great place to work remotely. Salsa, sangria and surfing, it doesn’t get any better in my opinion. Oh yeah, and then I can brush up on my Spanish a bit, too.’
