Maybe you already know us, having worked with us for years.
Maybe you have no idea who works at inBrain.
Our team is what makes us unique, which is why we’d like to tell you a little more about the people behind the products!
This time we introduce you to Georghy Sariman, UX/UI designer at inBrain.
How do you prefer to start your workday?
I always try to start my workday quietly. I am not a morning person at all, so my brain needs some stimulation to get going first. Therefore, I start my day with a moment to myself. I start by making an espresso and turning on some soothing music. Then I start with a brain dump in my notebook. I write down all the ideas I have, what I want to do today and what work needs to be done today. This allows me to start my day in a structured way and gives me an instant overview. I find that this helps create space in my head, giving me more room during the day to be creative and solve problems.
How would you describe your job to a 5-year-old child?
Imagine you want to make a really fun game that other kids would love to play. A UX/UI designer is someone who makes sure that you can easily understand the game and that it is fun for all children to play. The UX/UI designer does this by talking to children a lot to hear what they like. Then the UX/UI designer makes a plan and drawing of the game to show how the game can work. Finally, I have kids play the game to see if it works. I do this a few times until the game is as good as it can be.
What did you want to be in the past and what do you see from that in your work today?
I always wanted to make things. Whether it was carpenter or builder, there was always a making component in it. This is now also very evident in my work as a designer. So perfect job 😉
If you could only have three apps on your phone, what would you choose (and why)?
- WhatsApp: I must still be reachable!
- ChatGPT: my personal assistant, automation expert, sparring partner. This allows me to do my work much more efficiently and better.
- Spotify: I can’t live without music, hours go by every day with music on.
If inBrain were an orchestra, what instrument would you play?
I would be a drummer or percussionist, I guess. Besides being a hobby of mine, the UX/UI designer sets the rhythm of the user experience. With the right empathy, a good degree of creativity, a sense of rhythm and an eye for consistency, I ensure that every interaction with a product is smooth and intuitive. Together, I create a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics to strike the right chord with the audience.
