Maybe you already know us, haveworked with us for years. You may have no idea who works at inBrain. Our team is what makes us unique, which is why we like to tell a little more about the people behind the products!
This time we introduce you to Robin Lischer, Digital Learning Specialist at inBrain.
What is your favorite spot in the office?
‘When you get past the quiet rooms immediately to the right; at the window with my nose facing the quiet rooms. I like to be distracted by the view for a while and sit comfortably against the warm heater. I’m very environmentally conscious, but also really cold-blooded. Not an easy combo…’
What’s always in your bag when you’re at work?
‘Obviously my laptop and charger, but also always my lip balm (yes, really) and pen and paper. I am still a bit old-fashioned in that and like to take notes on paper. The lip balm is sheer necessity. Without it, I have no lips left at the end of the day.’
What is your favorite way to unwind after a busy work week?
‘A nice hot shower and then with a good book or series/movie on the couch with the dog(s). That secretly includes a big bag of chips or a big bar of chocolate. In practice, it is often not very relaxed because the dogs like to crawl into me and I end up at the bottom with two times 35 kg on top of me. But cozy it is.
If you could only have three apps on your phone, what would you choose (and why)?
‘Anyway, Google Maps. In fact, I am (almost) always lost (and lose track off…). Even in my own hometown. The Funda app is also not to be missed. I love spending hours searching for that one gem or just looking inside people’s homes. And, of course, Spotify. I do practically nothing without music. A day without music is a day not lived.’
If inBrain were an orchestra, what would your role be?
‘Let me say up front that I am absolutely not musical. Unfortunately, I have never learned to play an instrument and certainly cannot sing (except in the shower, but anyone can do that). If I had to choose a role, I think I would belong to the percussionists. Not at the forefront, but in the background putting in a steady base and rhythm for the rest.’
More about Robin
At inBrain, I enjoy working as a Digital Learning Specialist on various projects with diverse topics. After graduating as a Dutch teacher, I worked in secondary education for ten years. With my master’s degree in Educational Science, I have studied the transfer of digital knowledge more and more. This is how I ended up at inBrain, where I am given every opportunity and space to continue to develop myself as well.
I work closely with the client to come up with a great learning solution that challenges students in their learning. I look at the content from a didactic point of view and work with the designers to bring the content and design into a beautiful whole. It is fun to keep learning new things yourself through the different topics that come up.
