Maybe you already know us, having worked with us for years.
Maybe you have no idea who works at inBrain.
Our team is what makes us unique, which is why we’d like to tell you a little more about the people behind the products!
This time we introduce you to Bram, working student at inBrain.
How do you prefer to start your workday? I prefer to start my day with a good cup of coffee. Mornings are not my strong point, but fortunately inBrain has very good coffee. I normally prefer to drink my coffee black, but at the office I can still sometimes be tempted by one of the talented baristas walking around there to have a cappuccino. With my cup of coffee in hand, I then plan the rest of my day.
What was your first impression during your application?
When I first arrived at inBrain’s office, I immediately felt welcome! The large plants, table tennis table, racing chair and skateboard (including parking space) caught my eye right away. Now that I’ve been around inBrain for a while, in addition to helping out with projects, I’ve also been given the task of taking care of the plants. The plants haven’t grown any prettier and they now have swimming certificates A, B and C. But you learn from making mistakes and I wouldn’t be an inBrainer if I wasn’t open to learning.
How would you describe an inBrainer? I would describe an inBrainer as someone who is always open to new ideas and insights. Curious, eager to learn and always ready to discover new things. It is someone with broad interests and knowledge in different areas. And of course, an inBrainer always remains a little child, otherwise all those toys in the office would be for nothing!
What is missing from the inBrain office that you have at home (or vice versa)?
In the office at inBrain, you really don’t lack anything. Everything you need is there. And if anything is missing, Sebastiaan is on hand to fix it. By the way, at home I would love to have the office coffee machine, what a luxury it is!
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert at something, what would it be? Artificial Intelligence. I find it interesting not only how humans learn, but also how computers do. I’m currently taking a minor in artificial intelligence at Utrecht University. Sometimes I wish I could just learn everything with a snap of my fingers – nice and easy! But to be honest, that would mean missing out on the learning process, which is exactly what I enjoy so much… quite a dilemma!
More about Bram
As a working student at inBrain, I am involved in many different things, from assisting with projects, giving my opinion during a brainstorm, testing escape rooms to learning how to swim plants.
Through my Education Sciences degree, I am learning more and more about what motivates a learner, how learning works and how we can make learning easier and more fun! Combined with the Artificial Intelligence minor, I think I have a great foundation for looking around the field and figuring out what I ultimately want to be when I grow up.
