New way of working is still abstract and unclear to some employees. Very broad audience with diverse roles. Not everyone feels commitment to the subject yet. Learning solution as part of broader change program.

Getting to know the real estate chain

The Government Property Agency manages and maintains the buildings and grounds of the Central Government and Defense. From courts to royal palaces and from national museums to military sites. This makes the RVB the largest real estate organization in the Netherlands. Within the organization, efficiency, professional cooperation and availability of information are therefore of great importance. The RVB therefore works according to the real estate chain: a working method which ensures that assignments in the area of policy and housing are realized in a logical and structured manner.

For the real estate chain to work effectively, it is important that every RVB employee understands the basics of this way of working. This promotes efficiency and role clarity for all employees. RVB therefore asked us to develop an interactive e-learning to familiarize employees with working according to the real estate chain.

What does it provide?
Animated videos combined with interactive, activating learning formats. Work process explained using recognizable practical example. Role-specific sections to appeal to broad target audience.

Animated video makes work process understandable

In the learning solution, participants go through all phases of the real estate supply chain using animated videos. In between, the animations pause to give participants in-depth explanations of the phase of the process the participant is currently in.
Interactive exercises let participants test their knowledge on the subject and encourage them to reflect on their own role within the real estate chain.

The real estate chain is explained to participants using a recognizable real-life example. Participants follow a situation in which a government building is made integrally accessible: from the first initiative to the final result. In this way, participants immediately see how the real estate chain makes the work of the RVB more efficient and structured. This facilitates the transfer of the content of the learning solution to daily work practice.

The target group of the learning solution is very broad and it varies per role to what extent someone is involved in the real estate chain. Nevertheless, every employee of the RVB is affected to a greater or lesser extent. To ensure that everyone continues to feel involved in the subject, the learning solution contains a number of role-specific components. The content adapts to different sub-target groups at those times.
